While most others released in the range of eighty to ninety dollars, sometimes more, even though the site seems a bit sketchy, at $63.99 as your only option to buy it this side of the pond, it is super hard to pass it up. To put that into perspective, you can find AIOs at this price, but they are either generations old or fall into the black mass category. With the ID-Cooling Frostflow 120L, you get huge saving, and you aren't left staring at some three-year-old black AIO.

The design is pleasing, with a good mixture or black and red, something that fits with a huge range of gaming hardware that is already on the market. Sure it’s a little well-worn in terms of colour schemes, but it’s still wildly popular and easy to colour match. The red LED lighting in the pump is a nice touch too, giving a little visual flair to the overall design. In terms of price, the 120L is a hard deal to beat. It’s cheaper than most competitors solutions, just as well (if not better) made, and it has reliable mid-range water cooling performance that’ll have no issues dealing with an overclocking processor on a gaming system.

Following performance numbers alone, then Fractal Design's Kelvin S24 is our most capable cooler. Second was ID-Cooling's newly released Frostflow 240L, followed closely by Thermaltake's Water 3.0 Extreme. If thermal performance is the most important part, and cost doesn't matter, then Fractal Design's Kelvin S24 or ID Cooling's Frostflow 240L offer similar results, though S24 is slightly more capable.

Минусы перекликаются с другими СВО подобного типа, а именно: шумная помпа, недостаточно тихий комплектный вентилятор (когда дело касается работы под нагрузкой), отсутствие в комплекте шурупов для установки дополнительного вентилятора, отсутствие в комплекте понижающего резистора (что могло бы уменьшить шум от помпы и вентилятора в нагрузке). ID-COOLING можно понять, так как во главу угла была поставлена именно эффективность, но не следует забывать о том, что часть производительных платформ на базе процессоров Intel не требуют наличия супер кулеров и большинство потребителей все же предпочтёт баланс между эффективностью и тишиной.

ID-Cooling really has something with the FI-REEX Deluxe. Its innovative design with vapor pipes and a vapor chamber base is unique. Those same vapor pipes and the two traditional heatpipes are then soldered to the aluminum fin stack. All this and its high quality fans combine to give the already hefty cooler a very premium feel thanks to its exceptional build quality. It certainly doesn't hurt that the cooler is also well-packaged, with foam on all sides, which is nice to see. The FI-REEX Deluxe also offers solid cooling performance that is on par with many other high-end air coolers, while just as quiet, which makes for a compelling air cooler.

While this cooler is no doubt an old school concept that has been tweaked to stand up to what today's systems will put it through, it really appears that timing is everything when it comes to reviewing a product. While there is really not one thing about this cooler other than slightly curled fins that can easily be fixed to complain about, and had we seen this cooler first rather than the be quiet! Pure Rock, we may have shown a brighter light on the SE 214X, but being what it is, and since pricing is near identical as well, it is super hard to ignore what the Pure Rock was capable of doing just a few days ago.

IS 60: Silver Award – I have gone with the Silver Award for the IS 60 as though it is not primarily designed to cool an overclocked 4770K in a gaming system, it managed to pass all of our testing, even if only just. This IS 60 should offer sufficient cooling for most users looking to make use of an ITX build, and as such, is Silver worthy.

IS 40: Bronze Award – While not totally designed to cool an overclock 4770K, the IS 40 did indeed fail the benchmark testing. However, when using it for it’s intended purpose, cooling a normal CPU, it was more than adequate for its given size, earning it a Bronze Award.
