ID-Cooling Dual Air Cooling Review SE-204K and SE-214-X - PureOC Author:  PureOverclock    Date:  2015.04.03

Summary

Breaking into the PC hardware industry is not easy. In our opinion, ID-Cooling has done a great job and is going to be around for a long time. By the looks and performance of their product; They have two winners in the SE-204K and the SE-214X. ID-Cooling certainly is not breaking any cooling records with these products but they put a lot of thought into them and engineered two real slick looking air coolers for your PC.

From the angled heat pipes (that eliminates and memory heat spreader issues) to the sleek design and lets not leave out the rubber cushions that eliminate vibrations keeping your system quiet. The red corner and the dark charcoal color would look especially great with any Asus ROG or ASRock Fatal1ty motherboard. The 214K also comes with white rubber tipping so that should look good with any board.
Installation was a breeze and although ID-Cooling uses two different hardware packages, each brought in the easiest installation we have seen on any air cooler to date. So easy, even a caveman can install these coolers.

Performance wise, they do not break any cooling records but very respectable temperatures for what they are. The icing on the cake is the price. The 214X retails at a stunning $30 and the 204K prices at $45. How can you go wrong here? ID-Cooling can go head to head with the infamous Hyper 212+. The overclocker looking to max out their system would certainly to water cooling but the mainstream user looking to get a bit more out of their PC on air should really consider either of ID-Cooling’s new offerings.

To close it out, we give ID-Cooling a thumbs up here with the SE-204K and SE-214X and they easily earn the Editor’s Choice Award.
